Bluedog started as a basement band and evolved into a working band playing gigs in the greater Boston area. The origins of the band date back to an ad placed in a local Needham newspaper seeking musicians with day jobs looking to get together at night and jam. We play an eclectic mix of Jazz, funk, blues, Latin, and Reggae influenced music with an emphasis on groove. We have released a self-titled CD and our band consists of David Blaustein on saxes, Ken Ormes on guitar, Rafael Ornstein on Keyboards and Asher Schachter on Bass.

I’m a local musician who loves bringing people together through music. I’ve had the pleasure of performing at Porchfest in past years, and I’m excited to be back sharing a mix of acoustic favorites, singalongs, and crowd-pleasing classics. Come by, say hello, and feel free to sing along!

Universal Colossus is a group that brings different genres together to provide an entertaining set for all.

Jukka plays atmospheric folk-rock originals and carefully chosen covers for people whose emotional support system includes ’90s alternative, indie records, and pretending they don’t care. Finnish roots, Massachusetts address, guitar always nearby.

The Boneheads are collectively a Trombone Choir which arose, seemingly spontaneously, from the trombone section of the Randolph Community Band in 2018. Assembled by professional bassist, trombonist, and composer Mark Snyder, the number of players in the ensemble ranges from five to ten, depending on which of them are not in the witness protection program.

The broad range of repertoire attempted by The Boneheads is surpassed only by their stunning good looks. The arrangements they sincerely try not to mangle include music by Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Santana, and many dead white classical composers, including the beloved and well-known “Anonymous”.

The Boneheads are available to play for divorces, funerals, and executions. Don’t call us, we’ll find you.

Shadows on the Mountain is an acoustic duo that is inspired by artists such as John Denver, Iron and Wine, Brandi Carlile, and John Mayer. They started playing music together in 2019 and have loved performing at open mics, Porchfests, and events that benefit mental health support organizations. Particularly inspired by the music and lyrics of Gregory Alan Isakov and many talented local singer-songwriters, they've made the leap from playing cover music to working on their own songs.

A ukulele cover band. Vocal harmonies, ukulele, guitar and harmonica fuse into a unique sound playing classic rock and reggae from then and now.

And Then There Was One is the music project of Stevie Caldwell, a Milton-based singer-guitarist whose sound refuses to stay in one lane. And Then There Was One is mainly focused on original music rooted in rock but pulling freely from R&B, pop, and dance.

Dark Crushes revisits the Alt-80s to resurrect that decade’s matchless bands: The Clash, The Cars, The Smiths, REM, New Order, The Replacements, The Violent Femmes, Talking Heads, Pixies, The Cure, et. al. Think WFNX live, college radio’s heyday, or “Valley Girl” soundtrack. Or don’t think at all: just dance (or sway) to the well-curated nostalgia!

The Lusos are a 4-piece alt-country band. What do they sound like? Imagine Beck and Johnny Cash with Cake as the backing band. The Lusos’ music is somewhere in that weird Venn diagram. Twisted/whimsical lyrics and humor for all ages. 

Raised on a diet of Def Leppard and Don Henley, Tom's original work is too much acoustic guitar for rock, and too much roll for folk. He performs all around New England in a variety of projects.

TEMPO is a volunteer, diverse group of male and female percussionists, primarily from Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. Based in Dorchester, Massachusetts, we specialize in Afro-Caribbean rhythms with spoken words. We aim to promote peace and unity through music and cross-cultural communications. With handmade steel pans and other indigenous instruments from Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean, we incorporate improvisation and solicit people in attendance, children and adults, to join in with us when we perform.

The Beige is brothers Drew & Jamie Dunphy, who have been writing songs together since grade school and together have over 30 years performing in the greater Boston music scene. The Beige plays lively folk-rock, often with a touch of humor, focused on strong songcraft, catchy melodies and close harmonies. Their self-produced debut album "Six-Foot Beard of Bees" remains a seminal contribution to the short-lived suburban folk-a-delia scene. Their most recent EP, "When Are You Coming to New Jersey?", was produced by Brian Charles of Rare Signals Studios and released in May 2025.

Our clarinet ensemble is made up of members of the Canton Community Band. Founded in 2023, the players represent over a century of collective playing experience. We perform many genres of music from classical, big band, folk, rock, contemporary and more. For most of us, making music has been a part of our lives since childhood and playing for others is our greatest pleasure, and encouraging people, young and old, to "join the band" is also part of our mission.

The Ad Hoc Saxophone Quartet is reconvening for their second performance at Milton Porchfest 2026. They were formed in 2025 by Mark Snyder to premiere his first sax quartet composition. The members of the group are traveling to Porchfest for this performance from Medford, Sudbury, Hanson, and Conway NH. This year they will perform another new piece as well as many sax quartet favorites.

Four young men from Southern Mass. Cooper Cullen is the primary songwriter and he studies music and philosophy at Bridgewater State University. It was there he connected with John Joseph, who noticed Cooper's Blood on the Tracks t-shirt on campus. After years of friendship with John and his twin brother Matthew the three of them included Michael Cucinotta to add complex lead guitar work atop their songs.

Alpha Male, draws inspiration from genre-bending artists like Paramore and The Pixie's. They cover songs that hit with dreamy, indie sensibilities, a twist of unapologetic angst, and a sprinkle of funk.

Farrin (He/They) is a Milton teen who covers your favorite indie pop hits from Taylor Swift, Gigi Perez, Noah Kahan, Phoebe Bridgers, Twenty One Pilots and so much more. This will be Farrin’s fourth porchfest. He has preformed in open mics in Boston, Milton Art Center, and a local non profit fundraising event. They are also a long term musical theater actor their long theatre history consists of leading roles in Mean Girls, Rent, The Lightening Thief, Jesus Christ Superstar and so many more. He consistently has amazing stage presence and outstanding belting voice that have impressed audiences for years. Farrin mainly sings with backing tracks they make themselves but he will also be playing the guitar for some songs which he’s been learning for a year. 5 years since their debut at Milton Porchfest, the Lazy Susans continue to follow their dream, cover songs as well as write originals and most importantly have fun. Ranging from originals that touch on parenting, Mr. Darcy and women's empowerment to cover songs from Donna Summer to White Stripes, the goal is to keep on rocking!

Matt & Dan Sweeney are twin brothers who write, produce, mix, and engineer their own projects. Based out of a small suburban town in Massachusetts, they created their debut album, Strangers on the Street, entirely in the bedroom they shared as kids. Their songs cover many different genres, from tender soft rock to disco inspired sounds from the late 70's and even sonic landscapes reminiscent of psychedelic rock. Sweeney & Sweeney will be accompanied by both Shane Lambert on drums and Paul Murray on bass and vocals.

Bird Mancini (Ruby Bird & Billy Carl Mancini), Boston's acclaimed accordion/guitar duo, features eclectic acoustic rock pop style with lush vocal arrangements, blues-tinged guitar, accordion, harmonica, melodica and a variety of percussion, bells and whistles. Favorite gigs include the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England, International Pop Overthrow Fest in Boston & New York City, and a West Coast tour. They've shared stages with Leon Russell, David Crosby (of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), Joan Osborne, Gregg Allman, Jonathan Edwards, James Montgomery, The Stompers, The Outlaws, Mighty Sam McClain and the Pousette-Dart Band. The duo was nominated for a New England Music Award in 2017 and 2018, and a Limelight Award in 2019.  Along with many radio and TV appearances, Bird Mancini has released 7 full length CDs and a live performance video.

Mark Snyder & Friends is a group organized by Mark exclusively for Porchfest. It is made up of just a few of the stellar players Mark has been blessed to know and play with over his several decades as a professional musician.

Bassist and trombonist Mark Snyder has been a fixture on the Boston music scene since 1976. He has performed and/or recorded with The Gary Burton Quartet, Adam Nusbaum, Bob Moses, The Coasters, The Drifters, Gary “U.S.” Bonds, Franky Ford, Tommy Row, Brian Hyland, Safam, and Ictus; as well as countless other jazz, r&b, and rock groups, all over the U.S. and much of Europe. Mark studied music at Ohio University and Berklee College of Music, where he graduated with a degree in Composition. Mark has composed, recorded, and performed jazz, rock, r&b, and classical music, for various instrumentation, including small groups, big band, concert band, chamber music, and film scores.

Hailing from Jamaica Plain, Mitch Tasty draws inspiration from love, loss, and letting go, and often starts his creative process in his dreams. Candid, catchy, clever indie folk that speaks to the soul, written from the heart.

Formed in 2016 from Milton, MA, Lower Falls brings together four veterans of the Boston music scene playing an eclectic mix of covers and originals.

Electric Standard plays rock, blues and soul with the sound, spirit and enthusiasm of the original rock 'n' roll combos. In 2020, Electric Standard released its debut album, Vintage Circuitry, to strong reviews. Metronome magazine named it one of their "Top 20 of 2020", citing the group's "savvy songcrafting bolstered by equally sharp musicianship." The band's latest album, Lady Luck & the Grand Vizier, was produced with Bill Mason at Second Story Studios. Released in 2023, the album shows Electric Standard expanding its sonic range to include an even wider range of blues, folk and pop styles. Rebecca Cullen of Stereo Stickman called the album ""[A] fantastic project . . . a faultlessly written and recorded collection, joyful to let play but also profound and powerful when you need it to be."

The Chris Nifong Project is a five-piece group playing original jazz-fusion compositions by its leader, Chris Nifong, along with other selectively curated jazz, rock, pop and blues tunes. Based in Massachusetts, The Project started out as a family band made up of all Berklee educated musicians and has evolved into a group of players both from Berklee and the community. Driven by a reverence for virtuoso technique and a love of melody, the repertoire is creative, accessible, layered and energizing. Chris often uses personal experiences like a trip to Cadillac Mountain in Maine, or a Vermont summer day as an inspiration for his writing. Just as often, the music comes from his deep listening to his heroes – Mike Stern, Allan Holdsworth, John Scofield, Bill Frisell, The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin and many others. The band delivers great music, burning solos and a ton of energy in live performances, and is equally capable when playing quieter, more acoustically oriented events.

The Mastadonis Project is a Boston based collective that puts a unique spin on Jazz. Bringing with them an eclectic style that encompasses gospel music (from traditional to contemporary), R&B/Neo-soul and Latin and Caribbean influences.

The Angelbreakers are a dance-punk trio from New England and living proof that every legendary band begins with a clerical error. ‘90’s club rhythms and hardcore breakdowns to move your lips and sink your hips.

Cloud 9 is a Milton-based band playing a lively mix of rock, pop, and alternative covers — from Janis Joplin to Joan Jett to Journey. And that’s just the Js!

JustPhantom is a rapper and artist in the underground or independent music scene, from Boston MA particularly known for his presence on platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud. He’s gained attention for his unique blend of melodic rap, often with a dark or emotional vibe in his lyrics. His music resonates with fans of trap, cloud rap, and other similar subgenres, though he may not have broken into mainstream success yet.
